Below is a letter I recieved from the Thai Colonel I have been working with in Bangkok. He is an elder at a church in Bangkok. Cadence Asia sent his church some money to help military families affected by the Tsunami.
Thank to the Lord that we are far away from such unfortunate areas but grieve with those who have the loss of their family members and homes and lovers. For the lost of Thai military, according to the recent Naval reports there are 8 naval officers and 17 family members lost their lives, 4 disappears and 12 hurts in this recent tragedy excluding the Pangnga Naval base's damaging of its most facilities and some ships.
We are now seeing tremendous helps from many, inside and outside our country, and praise the Lord that the churches in Thailand demonstrate the love and care to countless victims of tragedy.
We, MCF (Military Christian Fellowship) of Thailand, as one of His hands and feet, are now thinking of what to do in this time of needs. Thank so much for your help comes at the right time. Our help may go directly to the military families that have suffered. We will have meeting next week for how to do that and I’ll let you know right after.
Thank so much again.
God bless
His for the adventure, Surasak (Thai Col.)
